Half blood. Her father ((Atticus Fredrick Blackwood)) a 35 yr old from a family of Purebloods. And her mother ((Sylvia Ann Blackwood)) a 33yr old half blood, both her parents are half blood but she is a Squib.
Wand:
14 inch oak wood wand, with unicorn hair core. The handle has a silver intricate design of the 12 zodiac constellations. The shaft of the wand is plain.
Appearance: Lyra is a short for her age chunky (not overweight) young lady. She has long (reaches the small of her back) medium brown hair that she keeps in a loose thick braid that hangs over her shoulder. Her eyes are green, with a bright yellow rimming the iris. She has long bangs that she fastens back with crazy random hair pins. Her long eyelashes cast shadows on her pale cheeks. She has very faint freckles that start at her nose and fades off to her cheeks.
Personality:
Lyra is one of the friendliest students attending Hogwarts. She is soft spoken and is easily intimidated. She has high hopes to make many friends while attending school and slowly but surely opens herself up to people who she gets close to. Lyra volunteers as much time as possible in the hospital wing of Hogwarts by keeping company to the sick or injured. Hogwarts is a massive school, and she hates walking far. She usually leaves early for classes so she doesn't have to end up hustling. You can find her in many places, re-organizing the potions room closets that hold a lot of the ingredients, in the library reading up on anything she finds fascinating, or in the great hall stuffing her and her owls face.
History:
Her childhood was carefree and was spent like most magical children. She was surrounded by the awes and wonder of magic, and could not wait to be apart of it. Her mother (being a squib) taught her the meanings of how muggles live without magic. She was forced by her mother to do everything by hand, and so resented her mother for it growing up. She is not prejudice towards blood status, even though her fathers family can be harsh.
Family & Pets:
She has an overweight very obese owl named Chubbs. He loves hitching rides on her shoulder, and always seems to not deliver any food items her family sends her. Chubbs is a barn owl, a male, and 3 years old. He can be found taking breaks from flying on a passing witch or wizards broom, and never can seem to be on time. She gets the daily prophet a day late because of this. She has no siblings and is an outcast to her fathers side of the family because of her mother. Her mother is a shameful black spot (according to her fathers family) on the family tree of the Blackwoods. Being a squib to them is worse then being a muggle. Her father works at the Ministry of Magic in the department of mysteries, her mother however offers daycare service to witches and wizards because she has no magic to offer.

Lyra enjoys potions class. Its a lot like cooking, and she loves baking and cooking amazing food. She loves mixing and adding ingredients as if making a fabulous cake. A natural at potions class and terrible at brooms. Her weight makes her overly cautious to fly and she dreads doing it in front of others. She is hoping to one day work at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries as a healer.
