Personality:
Sebastian is intelligent, but he is easily bored, so he seeks excitement and takes risks. the hat considered sorting him into Gryffindor because of his risk-taking and thrill-seeking tendencies, but his sometimes disloyal behavior canceled that out. that wasn't a problem, however, because his quick wit and desire to learn more to keep busy placed him directly in the house of Ravenclaw. Sebastian is friendly enough, he's a playful and relatively happy boy, but he also enjoys (and needs) his personal space. if he's constantly too close to others for extended periods of time, Sebastian tends to get agitated and may snap out. he has a dry sense of humor, and often says things deadpan, so sometimes it's hard to distinguish what is a joke and what is not. Sebastian is very observant and is quick to catch onto mostly everything but emotions. Sebastian has a rather mechanical outlook on life, and emotions (especially those of the sad and upset variety) stump him. the boy sometimes has issues holding his tongue, and he might make a witty (and rather rude) remark to a teacher or bluntly state something that he's observed, though it would have probably done better left unsaid. though Sebastian enjoys working in class and doing homework, he has a rather nonchalant outlook to his grades and schooling - not that he has to worry, really. he's particularly interested in charms and transfiguration, and Sebastian aims to be an animagus one day.

They were more than happy to join Sebastian on Diagon Alley and take him around to shop for wizarding things, all the while assuring him how proud they were. Sebastian sometimes wonders who his birth parents are, and why he was put up for adoption, but as far as he's concerned, the Avery's are his real family, and nothing will change that.
