Personality:
Addilyn Gray is a dreamer with high ambitions. when she gets an idea, her mind latches onto it like a dog with it's favorite bone and doesn't let it go. she'll stop at nothing to achieve her newest dream, as the small girl craves success in every form. Addie is a cunning and intelligent girl, and she uses these qualities as tools to help her climb the ladder of success. but, sometimes, she can get a bit too carried away and caught up in her ideas... and she might pass a line and end up doing something she's not proud of, like lying to or manipulating someone she's close to. Addilyn is not proud at all when she realizes what's happened, and (after some self-berating) does her best to smooth over and fix whatever she has done. Addie is very hard on herself because she strives to be a great and influential witch someday. she believes any mistakes she makes now could somehow screw up all of her plans for her future, so she tries to think things through entirely so that she can have sure-footing when she does act. but, as you've read, she can sometimes get so carried away that her careful planning gets lost along the way. she's an extremely competitive person and has been known to have a few dirty tricks up her sleeve when the going gets tough. when she's not pursuing new goals, Addie likes to spend her time in the common room talking and laughing with her fellow Slytherins. she has a bit of a crude sense of humor and particularly likes jokes at other people's expense (she'll even laugh at a joke made about herself, if it's funny enough). Addie makes friends rather easily, though at first she can seem a bit cold. but, if you can manage to stick by her side for a while, you'll find a warm, supporting friend that's more than happy to help you with your late Charms homework or curse that Gryffindor that dared to mess with a Slytherin.
Addilyn was born to Charlotte and Arthur Gray, a young couple that had been wishing for a child of their own since they married. Addilyn was taught by her mother from a very young age till the time she was old enough to head off to kindergarten. both of her parents always expected the best from her, and pressed her to go above and beyond what was asked of her at school. at times, the young girl thought this was very unfair, but she is rather thankful for them. though her parents could easily afford it, Addie was never a spoiled child because her parents wanted her to know that things would never be handed to her in life - she had to earn them. Addie's father often spurted out motivational quotes as if his life depended on it. One of his favorites was "If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.' by Zig Ziglar, which definitely left it's mark on Addilyn.
